日光の社寺が世界遺産に登録されて25周年を記念して発行された大変貴重な御朱印です。

　山内の世界遺産・日光山輪王寺で2024年4月7日、初開帳を控えた秘仏「五大明王像」に魂を込める開闢（かいびゃく）法要が営まれた。世界遺産「日光の社寺」登録25周年を記念し、本堂の三仏堂内特設会場で公開される。2025年3月末まで。

　五大明王は「軍荼利（ぐんだり）」「大威徳（だいいとく）」「不動」「降三世（ごうざんぜ）」「金剛夜叉（こんごうやしゃ）」の５体の明王像。如来の化身仏で、無事息災や安泰隆昌に御利益があるとされる。
　明王像は幅66.9cm奥行き39.8cmの台座に据えられ、不動明王の座像（高さ27.6cm）の周囲を4体の明王像が取り巻いている。同寺によると江戸時代の作とされるが、制作者は分かっていないという。

This very valuable red seal was issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the registration of Nikko's shrines and temples as World Heritage sites.

　On April 7, 2024, a Kaiyaku (creation) ceremony was held at the World Heritage Site Rinnoji Temple in the mountains of Nikko, where the spirit of the Godai Myoo Statue, a hidden statue of Buddha, was put into the statue before its first opening. The temple will be open to the public at a special venue in the Sanbutsudo Hall of the main hall until the end of March 2025 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of its registration as a World Heritage site.

　The five Myoo statues are "Gundari," "Daitoku," "Fudo," "Sangozanze," and "Kongoyasha. They are incarnations of Buddha and are believed to bring blessings for safety, health, and prosperity.
　The Myoo statues are mounted on a pedestal 66.9 cm wide and 39.8 cm deep, with a seated statue of Fudo Myoo (27.6 cm high) surrounded by four Myoo statues. According to the temple, it is said to have been made in the Edo period, but the creator is unknown.
